What does one do when one does not need therapy, yet would like to improve their quality of life? I work in conjunction with positive psychology, the brainchild of Dr. Martin Seligman. Together we discover your strengths and build on them, focusing on where you are now and where you need to be. You would be paying for your personal virtual tour guide to help navigate your own mind. You will be your own pilot, creating your action plans to help you soar above the rest.
When a human being is doing what they are aligned with, and
are constantly accomplishing goals, this will lead to happiness,
according to the positive psychology theory.
I coach in alliance with Martin Seligman's theory of positive psychology. In place of therapy's DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) which focuses what is wrong with a person, I focus on diagnosing strengths with the aid of the UnDSM. This is referred to as the VIA (Values in Action) strength survey, which was developed by positive psychologists Christopher Peterson and Martin Seligman. This diagnostic tool enables the coach to identify the client's strengths with the intention of building on top of the foundation previously set. These strengths may have been undetected until now.
I offer face to face coaching in my office, however, will do most of my work via tele calls. I coach internationally as long as the English language is strong enough to communicate effectively with me.
